Is ZeroMark® impervious to ALL types of stains? +

No, in fact no finish used on consumer goods will be impervious to ALL types of stains, but ZeroMark® does a great job on the types of stains you and your family (and the most artistic of children) will throw at it. Not only does ZeroMark® stand up to everyday mishaps in high-traffic areas like living rooms and waiting rooms, but also it's the perfect additional layer of protection for demanding environments like playrooms and workshops where nasty stains and marks are inevitable.

Is a vacuum safe to use on your flooring? +

A vacuum cleaner with a rotating beater bar is not safe for your floors. Beater bars, common in many upright vacuums, are designed for carpets. Opt for a vacuum cleaner with soft bristles or a brush roll specifically designed for hard floors. Avoid vacuum cleaners with aggressive brush rolls meant for deep carpets, as they may scratch the surface of the LVP/LVT.

What cleaning solution is recommended to use on the floors? +

For everyday maintenance, a moistened mop/damp cloth with warm water will suffice. For a heavier cleaning, you can use a low pH (neutral) cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools that could damage the surface. Be sure to check out our Care and Maintenance Guidelines for more information!

Does your product contain phthalates? +

All our products are FloorScore® and/or Greenguard Gold certified. These certifications ensure that our flooring meets rigorous standards for indoor air quality and environmental sustainability. You can confidently choose our products, knowing that they adhere to strict guidelines and are free from harmful substances such as phthalates.

Do you offer Luxury Vinyl Plank and Tile (LVP/LVT) with UV protection? +

Certainly! All our Luxury Vinyl Plank and Tile (LVP/LVT) products come with a UV coating for enhanced protection. The UV coating serves as a barrier, helping to shield the flooring from the damaging effects of ultraviolet (UV) light. This feature not only preserves the color and appearance of the LVP/LVT, but also contributes to the overall durability of the flooring. You can trust that our LVP/LVT is designed to withstand daily wear and maintain its aesthetic appeal over time.

Do you sell your products directly to consumers? +

No, we do not sell our products directly to consumers. To find our products, we recommend using the dealer locator tool on our website. Is your flooring resistant to fading from sunlight? +

Luxury Vinyl Plank and Tile (LVP/LVT) flooring is generally designed to be resistant to fading from sunlight. The top wear layer of LVP/LVT often includes UV inhibitors or coatings that help protect the flooring from the harmful effects of sunlight exposure. This feature helps preserve the color and appearance of the LVP/LVT over time.

However, while LVP/LVT is resistant to fading, it's essential to note that prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can still have some impact over an extended period. Using window coverings, such as blinds or curtains, can further reduce the potential for fading and help maintain the flooring's original aesthetic.

How does Luxury Vinyl Plank and Tile (LVP/LVT) differ from traditional hardwood flooring? +

Unlike traditional hardwood, LVP/LVT is a synthetic flooring material. It is water-resistant, more affordable, and requires less maintenance than hardwood. Additionally, LVP/LVT is available in a wide range of styles and can be installed in various environments.

Is Luxury Vinyl Plank and Tile (LVP/LVT) suitable for wet areas, such as bathrooms or kitchens? +

We have recently had Happy Feet installed and the contractor left glue residue on several planks. What can I use to remove these adhesive smears? +

To effectively remove adhesive smears, denatured alcohol is a highly recommended solution. Denatured alcohol, also known as methylated spirits, is a solvent that can efficiently break down and dissolve adhesive residues. Its ability to dissolve various substances, including adhesives, makes it an excellent choice for cleaning surfaces without causing damage. Once the adhesive has dissolved, wipe the area clean with a dry cloth or a different clean cloth dampened with water to remove any residual alcohol.

Do any of your products tolerate extreme temperature swings? +

Specifically designed to withstand a wide range of temperatures, from 0 degrees Fahrenheit to as high as 105 degrees Fahrenheit, the Stabilicor® Plus Construction flooring is known for its exceptional thermal stability.
